Wondering if I can point the Tableau App on iPad to my Tableau Public profile?
Has anyone tried doing so? and if so what is the Server name that I need to point to?

I doubt it, but you could test it. The address is: https://public.tableau.com/s/ and for a specific author its something like:
https://public.tableau.com/profile/mlutton#!/
You can, of course, use Safari to consume Tableau Public on an iPad.
