I have an excel sheet (List.xlsx). that has different metrics for a scorecard calculation. The whole excel sheet, of which this is a part, has different percentage values for green and amber color bands based on the metrics we select. For now the value has been set to metric id 14 from the SQL database. The requirement is to link the excel file to the tableau workbook directly so that whatever changes are made on the excel worksheet source, reflect in the tableau workbook (MT-CQ-Chart-Overall).
The tableau workbook has a bullet graph with different gradients for percentage values, that is set to 80% and 95% (i.e. for metric id 14). What we require is that the value should change based on the changing ranges in the excel sheet.
For ex- Changing the value to metric id 15, should change the color gradient accordingly to 60% and 90%. You can check it by changing the percentage values for green and amber colors in metric id 14.
The idea of doing this for different parameters separately does not sound right, due to the large number of metrics.
I don't know if this is completely possible in tableau, but if it is, please let me know how I can achieve this.
