We have a website that displays tableau reports. We are changing the URL for the website. When we test this out, the reports it displays stops working? Looking to understand why

There are no changes to the tableau server

We are only changing the URL used for our customer facing website that displays the tableau report

Reports work fine with current URL, but stop working when we flip the website to the new URL

    Normally, when we set up embedded reports, we have to tell Tableau where the requests will be coming from to display content, and often we use Trusted Authentication as well.

     

    Both of those things need to be reconfigured IN TABLEAU if you change the source of the requests to Tableau Server.
