How do I deal with an asterisk in blended data in tableau? I cannot change blended to a union as I have other worksheets and dashboards working fine.

On older versions, you can use a join instead of a blend. If it is a many to many join, this will cause duplication issues. If it does, you will need to use Level of detail calculations to resolve the duplication.
