I am completing the module Bring External Data into the Contact Page Layout. At the step Verify Data Is Ingested, and Run an Identity Resolution Ruleset, I have waited for almost 20 minutes but the Data Stream Status still shows Pending and not changing to Success. Please provide help as I need to complete the module by this weekend and need to give my certification exam.

    Hi, @Ravi Sharma

     

    Try to create new Playground and retake this Challenge on it.

     

    To create a new Agentforce/Data Cloud Org, you need to delete the current one, and only after that will you be able to create a new one.

     

    To delete/disconnect Agentforce/Data Cloud Playground, you need to follow these steps:

    1. Open the list of your Playgrounds (SF Orgs) at https://trailhead.salesforce.com/users/profiles/orgs.

    2. Create a new "standard" Playground.

    3. Once the Playground is created, you will be able to delete/disconnect the Agentforce/Data Cloud Playground.

     

    Now you can create a new Agentforce/Data Cloud Org.

    I have had the same issue but have worked around it so far. In my list of Data Streams, the Last Run Status has been "Pending" for quite some time. I use the "Update Status" button on the Data Streams list view to ensure I'm looking at the current status, but it doesn't update, even after an hour.

     

    I was able to move forward and complete this Trailhead project step (moving on to the next unit) in spite of that, i.e. even with the data itself not synced, because the metadata was good. However, I had to update the Mapping of the Contact object to include the Formatted E164 Phone Number. So the tweaks were:

     

    (1) From Data Streams (or Data Lake Objects), open Contacts_Home and go to the mappings. Add a new mapping from Business Phone (on the left) to the Contact Point Phone > Formatted E164 Phone Number on the right. Save this updated mapping.

    (2) This should clear the way for the Data Model status to update to Ready, if it wasn't already.

    (3) It should also clear the issues preventing the Identity Resolution ruleset from correctly firing. Now if you go back to the Identity Resolutions tab and run the ruleset you created, it should run successfully.

    (4) With the Data Model updated (step 2 above), you will also automatically clear the issue that some have reported about not being able to add new fields using the Add Fields button in Lightning App Builder to update the fields shown on the Dynamic Related List in the Contact records page.

     

    So as of now, I was able to Verify the step in this Trailhead module unit and move on, even though my Data Streams are still listed as Pending and the number of records displayed is still 0.

    Same issue here.

     

    Although I was able to pass all of the steps in the badge without any of the data loading. It seems the badge only checks if you configured all the metadata correctly.

    @Ravi Sharma Did you ever get this resolved?  

     

    I'm having the same problem today and wondering it has something to do with the last update of the EPIC OrgFarm connection which by looking in "Data Cloud Setup">"Salesforce CRM" it looks like it was last updated this morning. I even tried deleting the production org and re-generating it, and still have the same problem. 

     

    Since I'm not the only one having this issue today I'm wondering if something happened during the update?  Just a  guess on my part because I'm of course still learning about Data Cloud:@Ravi Sharma Did you ever get this resolved?

    As far as I can see, the issue is affecting many users, and creating a new Playground does not solve the problem. This seems to be a specific issue with the Playground itself. It is necessary to wait until the developers fix this problem, after which you can continue working on the Challenge.

    I am also facing this issue since Dec 24th. 

    I see lot of folks are also facing this issue.

    Does anyone know whom to reach out for getting these kind of issue fixed?

    Facing same issue, the data stream is stuck in pending state for a day. Did anyone find a resolution?

    I am also having the same issue. I can click the "Refresh Now" action on each data stream but that just sets it to Pending.   It has been 40 minutes fo rme.
