I followed the directions in the "Set Up Visual Studio Code" section of the "Find and Fix Bugs with Apex Replay Debugger" Project. At the very end, when I search for "apex java" in the settings of Visual Studio Code, I can't find where I am supposed to "Configure Java Home Setting for Apex Support". The SF Extension Pack is downloaded. Did I miss a step or do something wrong?
Once you have downloaded all the above, close and re-open the visual studio code and go to
In Visual Studio Code, click File > Preferences > Settings (Windows or Linux) or Code > Settings > Settings (macOS).
- Enter apex java in the search box.
It should pop up.
where in you have to put in the path for your java install file it should look something like this if you're on windows
@Madelyn Yates Can you confirm, if you have installed the following:
1. Salesforce CLI
2. Visual Studio code ( which you seem to have )
3. Java ( or JDK 21) - If you haven't done this, please do it from this link
or this one
Hope this helps!

Hi, @Madelyn Yates
Here is a good Trail where it is well described step-by-step how to set up your working environment.
Additionally, there is a simple example of the first LWC component.
I think this information will be useful and interesting for you.
Sincerely,
Mykhailo Vdovychenko
