Hello Everyone

Currently we are trying to export Salesforce contacts via an Excel PowerQuery. Since we have multifactor authentication as a must  we decided to set up SSO for Salesforce.

After setting SSO up and using a tenant account the authentication works as expected and MFA is no longer required.

However it is not possible to automate the process because after a certain time we get an error message that the credentials are not working anymore. Obviously nothing has changed and once restarting Excel and reentering the creds it works again. We have tested several steps from the PowerQuery side but unfortunately without success.

Thanks in advance to all of you.

    Hi ,

I was able to finally resolve this issue by turning off the Salesforce security setting called "

Lock sessions to the IP address from which they originated

".  I've included a screenshot below of the setting in Salesforce.  Before I turned this off, I was able to refresh a Salesforce dataset from Power BI Desktop but was unable to refresh the same dataset in Power BI Service.
