view public article url in tickets

We have public facing articles and I would like to have a section where we can search for the article and provide the external link which is non salesforce url and add to a case.

 

I know you can have articles attached as PDF's but that is not pratical

    Can you explain your use case?  Where do you want to do this search?  And what do you mean "add to a case".
