Can this be done on a dashboard ?

I've got a user who would like a dashboard created that will show 3 fields from an object that meet a certain criteria. The problem as I see it, is that (to the best of my knowledge) dashboards can only show summarized information, as opposed to data from detail records.  I'm wondering if 1:  My understanding of dashboards is correct... and ...2: is there a work-around for this?  (Possibly able to do with a visualforce page ?  Too bad I have no experience at all with visualforce.)

    Glad to heard about DF! I think yo uare right about the no-dice-for-non-summary.

     

    Is there any reason that a scheduled email (report) wouldn't be good enough for the user? You could name it "On Hold Dashboard" and respond 'problem solved!'
