For Marketing Cloud Next Email Sending Essentials > Send an Email Campaign, when I go to select the Leads Segment and click Create, I get the following error: Hmm, that didn't work. Refresh the page and try again.
I've tried refreshing that page, and completely logging out/in and still the same error.
Anyone else faced this?

Hi Jesse,
This error usually comes down to one of these — worth checking in order:
- Segment setup — for MCN campaigns, the segment must be built on the Unified Individual object, in the default data space, and must be Published. If it was built directly on Lead, that's likely the issue.
- Pipeline order — make sure Identity Resolution was run and the Data Graph refreshed before the segment was created.
- Browser — try an Incognito window or disable ad-blockers; this generic error can also come from a blocked API call.
- Known flakiness — a few others hit this exact error on this same challenge and it went through after a few retries (some deleted and recreated the segment/flow once). So if 1–3 look fine, retrying is worth trying too.
If it's still stuck, logging a case with Trailhead Help with a screenshot + unit URL is the fastest way to get the actual backend error.
My Individual DMO is in a 'ready' status with two DLOs mapped to it with required fields (like Id)
When I go to create a data graph, the only DMO available is the Static Currency Rates. no other DMOs are available despite having active/ready DMOs.

I am doing "Create a Data Graph" module but I am experiencing the error "One or more required fields are missing from the Individual DMO." (find in the attachment). Does anyone face this before and resolved it? Thanks!

Yes, this is a fairly common issue in the "Create a Data Graph" Trailhead module.
The error usually means that the Individual DMO (Data Model Object) in your Data Cloud org is missing one or more required fields that the challenge validator expects. Even if your Data Graph appears to work, Trailhead checks for specific field mappings.
A few things to verify:
- Ensure the Individual DMO is included in your Data Graph.
- Confirm that all required fields (such as Individual ID and other standard identity fields referenced in the module instructions) are mapped correctly.
- Double-check that you're using the exact DMOs and relationships specified in the challenge.
- Save and activate the Data Graph after making changes.
- If everything looks correct, try deleting and recreating the Data Graph from scratch, as Trailhead validation can occasionally get stuck.
If you can share a screenshot of the Data Graph configuration or the Individual DMO field mappings, it will be easier to pinpoint the missing field.

Reopen the graph, make a tiny edit, save again, then run the build once more.
Refresh the Data Cloud page after the build completes, then run Check Challenge again.
If it still fails, create the graph again from scratch in the same playground and repeat the exact steps in the module.
If the challenge continues to fail even though the graph is visible and built, it may be a Trailhead validation delay or backend mismatch, so trying again later often helps.
