Solution:  logged out of trailhead and hands on org, logged back in and tried again.  Worked.    Also found this article:   Requests getting 503 error code response after initial deployment in your runtime - Mule 3 and Mule 4    ...

Hi  @KEERTHI POTLAPALLI https://trailblazers.salesforce.com/profileView?u=0054V00000HchDtQAJ , happy to, however although I'm not new to SFDC I am new to using these feeds :(... can you please share where/how i mark "Best Answer" and how to close this?      :(  i don't see anything "Best Answer" and I don't see "Close" anywhere, i do see "Mute", is this what you are referring to; you would like me to Mute it?
