Hello,

Does anyone know if you can you hide Record Types from being available to certain Profiles when they create Reports? Note: I have already removed access to these Record Types in the Profiles. At this point, they only show when creating Reports but I would like to change that visibility.

@Tessa Goraya unfortunately.. removing record types at profile level doesnt prevent such records being excluded from search results OR from reports.

    one approach can be

    1. You can update ownership of all such records pointing to a certain record type to a generic user having blank role OR (in case you have role hierarchy).. have that user assigned at the top of role hierarchy. This will prevent such records from appearing in reports.

    2. Train the users to not consider records pointed to those record types and educate them to apply appropriate filter.

    3. If this record type is part of custom object.. then applying restriction rules at Org level could work by which you lock or hide visibility of such records
