I have to build the Einstein chatbot for customer website and service cloud agent queue , we don't have experience cloud or salesforce site but our own website.

In the article  https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=sf.bots_service_requirements.htm&type=5

it is mentioned , that we need to publish Experience cloud or salesforce site to use Einstein bots

salesforce provides the code snippet  to embed the chat widget in customer website , but still experience cloud is mentioned as perquisite.

please help me in clarifying this point .

Thanks in Advance.

Bot itself doesn't. But if you are using chat channel and OOTB chat client, the customizable UI asset for the chat client needs to be hosted somewhere even if you only want to attach it to the customer website. So that's where you need to have an experience site or a site for. The site doesn't need to have anything else or public-facing.

Obviously, if you are building a bot for SMS channel or use CHAT REST API only to create a complete customize chat client, you don't need experience/site
