I have an org that uses custom VF code on top of the standard Opportunity (Payment) Object. I have a couple of questions:
1) Is it normal for a Validation rule on the Contact object to prevent an associated Opportunity (Payment record) from being created and related, if it fires when the conditions are met on the Contact record, even though you are not directly editing the Contact record?
2) If there is a lookup from Object A to Object B and Object B fires a Validation rule when trying to create Object A record, would this prevent Object A from being created and related?
