Custom revenue schedule

Question

I have a product that I would like to create a default schedule for.  Is there a way to customize the schedule to reflect 10% of the total price in the first month, with the remaining 90% spread over the remainder of the default months?

Hi Danielle, I agree with Kelly. We use out of the box revenue scheduling for some of our product groups but others have used Custom Code to on top of the existing revenue scheduling tables to do what you are talking about. We just added some fields to the product where you can set the first month % and how to divide it after that. Then we have custom apex that rebuilds the schedule based on the product.

Since we use the same schedule table we can still use the out of the box functionality for teams that don't need a custom solution.
