Hi,

I'm getting mad with a sharing tasks issue.

I have two sales users with the same role and same profile.

Profile is set on Edit/Delete activities.

The OWD for Activities is set on Controlled by parent

They have shared their calendars each other.

They want to modify each other tasks but they get an Insuffcient Privileges error.

What did I miss?

The OWD slows the user to see the activities, but doesn't relate to editing of the tasks.  To edit a task, the following must apply:

You have the “Edit Tasks” and “Edit Events” permissions

    AND

You’re assigned to the activity, or

You’re above the user assigned to the activity in the role hierarchy, or

You have the “Modify All” object-level permission in the related record, where the sharing model for that record is “Controlled By Parent” (if Shared Activities is enabled, you need the “Modify All” object-level permission for at least one contact and the related record), or

You have the “Modify All Data” permission

    See the doc for yourself
