I need to update an Opportunity Product field when the Opportunity is updated

I need to create a workflow or dometing to update a field on the Opportunity Product when the Opportunity is edited. Ihave treied a workflow on the Opp Product but it will never trigger as teh opp Prod never gets edited only the Opportunity itself
