I just refreshed a developer sandbox. Afterwards the service created the products in the Sandbox. I looked at one of the products and was surprised to find that it had a created timestamp of 9/4/2013.
How is that possible? A dev sandbox has no data after a refresh, so the product didn't somehow survive the refresh - it had to have been created after the refresh. How is it possible for it to have a create date of 2013?

As a follow-up, I created a new 'Developer' sandbox environment over the weekend and it copied over all of the products and pricebooks when the refresh was complete.
