Why Is Easy Important?

In this unit, you explore the key elements of creating a Salesforce solution that delivers value fast. That said, the flexibility of the Salesforce Platform and the various automation tools available can make finding the right balance between simplicity and functionality tricky.

To create architectures that are easy to use (and easy to maintain), you must understand your business priorities and your users' needs, preferences, and daily tasks. You must also know the strengths and weaknesses of your delivery and maintenance teams.

Be prepared to have difficult trade-off analyses and conversations with your users. The architecture you design should be easy to use, but that doesn’t mean that your job is easy!

An easy solution enables businesses to operate more efficiently and effectively on the Salesforce platform by behaving in ways that are intentional, automated and engaging.

To build an intentional solution prioritize three dimensions: strategy, maintainability, and readability. Intentional architectures are planned and delivered strategically, can be maintained effectively, and are easy for humans to read and understand.

Automation plays a pivotal role in simplifying tasks, allowing work to be completed faster and on a larger scale. To build an automated solution prioritize two dimensions: efficiency and data integrity. This not only conserves time and resources but also empowers businesses to adapt to rapidly evolving market demands.

Your solution only delivers value if it’s being used! To build an engaging solution ensure your design is streamlined and helpful. When you do, your solution has a greater chance at achieving higher adoption. This only comes with a thorough understanding of business priorities, user requirements, and team capabilities.
