Save Time with Agentforce on the Salesforce Mobile App

Learning Objectives

After completing this unit, you’ll be able to:

  • Explain how to set up Agentforce on the Salesforce mobile app.
  • Describe how to use Agentforce on the Salesforce mobile app.

How Does It Work?

So your admin has completed all the necessary setup tasks to enable Agentforce and to set up an agent in your org. Now let’s go through the steps you need to take to use it on mobile.

{zero seconds later}

That’s it, you’re done! Yup: You don’t need to do anything else to set up Agentforce for your Salesforce mobile app. All the features and functions you know and love about Agentforce are available by default in your Salesforce mobile app.

Watch a quick video to see this in action.

Let’s take a look at the ways you can access Agentforce on your mobile device and some of the ways it makes your life easier.

Access Points

The first way to access Agentforce is to open your Salesforce mobile app. You automatically see an easy way to interact with Agentforce at the bottom of your screen. Type in a question or request for Agentforce in the Ask Agentforce box. Tired of typing? No biggie, tap the microphone sign (give the app access to speech recognition and microphone if you haven’t yet), and tell Agentforce what you’d like it to do. Opt in to using Agentforce, and you’re ready to go.

On iOS devices, you can also add a shortcut. Some actions in the Shortcut App include Open Agentforce and Talk to Agentforce.

Tapping that shortcut automatically opens your Salesforce mobile app at the Agentforce interface.

Another access point on iOS devices is the use of widgets. Widgets add a quick way to access Agentforce without ever opening the Salesforce mobile app. To add a widget, touch and hold the home screen until the apps jiggle, and then tap the Edit button. Tap Add Widget, and search for Salesforce. Then, select the Agentforce widget, and tap Add Widget.

Tap the microphone or keyboard to immediately start using Agentforce.

You can even add the shortcut in your Control Center and engage with your CRM data with one tap from your lock screen. In iOS 18 and beyond, long tapping the home screen allows you to customize it, and (just an idea here) replace that pesky flashlight widget with your trusty Agentforce one.

Don’t even feel like tapping anything? Just say “Hey Siri, Ask Agentforce” to open Agentforce using Siri. It all just…works, natively with no extra fuss or development time.

Agentforce in Action

Now that you know how to access Agentforce on your mobile device, you might wonder: What can you do with it? Here are just a few of the out-of-the-box actions ready for your use, when you have a default agent set up.

You’re running from one client meeting to another, and you see a new meeting pop up in your calendar. The account, Acme, isn’t one you’re familiar with, and you don’t have time for your usual meticulous research. What to do? Ask Agentforce to summarize the account and its related opportunities for you. Just tap on the microphone and say, “Summarize the Acme account and its opportunities,” and Agentforce will give you a rundown in a jiffy.

After your meeting with Acme, you look at the account record, and notice that the ZIP code on the mailing address is incorrect. No problem: Ask Agentforce to update it. While you’re in the account record, use the microphone on the Agentforce interface to say, “Update the ZIP code to 12345.” After the update, Agentforce asks you if the update is correct. If so, simply ask Agentforce to save the updated record.

Those are just two examples. Watch for any updates to out-of-the-box topics and actions in Agentforce, and know that they work seamlessly on your Salesforce mobile app.
