I've had a number of circumstances in non-profit instances (not using the non-profit starter pack) where a report returns unexpected results.  If the report filters are rebuilt from scratch (removed and re-built or the entire report rebuilt) without making any other changes in the database, the expected results are returned.  It acts as though some filters are somehow corrupted and not functioning as expected.  It seems it is typically one filter that causes the problem.

This situation has happened only a small number of times while I've supported some 30 or so organizations over 2 or 3 years, probably only 2 to 4 times.  So it is not common, but given the implications makes users uneasy.  The sense is that they have to carefully review every report to make sure it's functioning properly - not a helpful situation.

The only other thing I can say at this point is that I BELIEVE the problem occurs when a user creates a report by running an existing report as a template, modify as necessary, then save as a new report.  I'm not aware that this problem has happened when creating a new report.  I've also not noticed it in Views or other places where similar filters are used.

I'm wondering if anyone else has noticed anything similar.  I saw nothing when searching the forums or anywhere else.  Thanks much!
