I have a custom object in salesforce and it has 4 record types. One of the record type is bit complicated and I wanna change that record type to an entirely a new custom object with another tab in salesforce.
Now this record type has visual force pages and other automations. Is there a way that I can just convert a record type into an entirely different custom object?

Hi Jas,
Record type we generally use for page layout assignment and sometimes picklist assignment chnage. you have to make the same fields again for the new object as the previous one to use them in page layout or any other process. i am not sure how it will help you.
