From an opportunity or lead, I often search for a particular account name in the "To" field, but SF gives an error message that it is an invalid name. However, if I select the same name while in the account itself, the error message does not appear and e-mail is sent.

 

This is an intermittant problem.

    That is odd enough behavior to submit a Case to Salesforce Support. :)
