Maintain Your Data 360 Consultant Certification for Winter ’27

Learning Objectives

After completing this unit, you’ll be able to:

  • Explain how Hyperforce expands Data 360 availability.
  • Create real-time data actions with event-triggered flows.
  • Describe how segmentation and activation credits are tracked.
  • Review recent usage and access changes in Data 360.
  • Use companion orgs to share Data 360 across multiple Salesforce orgs.
  • Apply Build and Share and package automation to make deployments faster and more reliable.
  • Apply sandbox migration and real-time ingestion tools.
Note

As of October 14, 2025, Data Cloud has been rebranded to Data 360. During this transition, you might see references to Data Cloud in our application and documentation. While the name is new, the functionality and content remains unchanged.

Data Cloud Consultant Certification Overview

The Data Cloud Consultant certification validates your ability to design, configure, and implement enterprise data platform solutions using Data 360. As a certified consultant, you’ve demonstrated expertise in building scalable customer data strategies and delivering solutions that help organizations achieve a unified Customer 360.

Certified Data Cloud Consultants know how to:

  • Implement and manage Data 360 setup and administration.
  • Design and structure data ingestion and modeling strategies.
  • Configure identity resolution to unify customer records.
  • Build meaningful segmentation and insights for personalization.
  • Activate data across Salesforce applications to drive business outcomes.

In this module, we highlight key updates you need to know for Winter ’26 to keep your certification current and your skills sharp.

Expand Data 360 with Hyperforce

Hyperforce is the cloud infrastructure that runs Data 360 on public servers around the world. Data 360 is now available in 17 countries, with new regions including France, Indonesia, South Korea, and the United Arab Emirates.

This expansion increases the locations where Data 360 is available and gives you more control over how and where data is stored. With Data 360, you can:

  • Store customer data in-region to meet residency requirements.
  • Comply with standards such as GDPR and LGPD.
  • Improve data processing and app responsiveness with lower latency.
Note

Tip

If your company needs to keep data in a specific country, move Data 360 to the right Hyperforce region. After the move, test your connections and data flows to be sure everything works as expected.

Act on Data Changes in Real Time

Real-time data actions let you act on changes in Data 360 the moment they happen. Instead of waiting for a nightly job or a scheduled refresh, you can set up flows that run right away—like sending a special offer or alerting your service team the instant a loyalty member reaches VIP status.

To set up a real-time data action, you:

  • Select a data graph and a data model object.
  • Decide which fields and conditions to track.
  • Create the flow that runs when those conditions are true.
Note

This feature requires the Sub-Second Real-Time Profiles & Entities add-on.

Track All Credits in One Place

Now you can track segmentation and activation credits in the Data Services Consumption Card, right inside your org’s Digital Wallet. Salesforce moves everything from the old card over automatically, one for one, so you don’t lose any of your details.

This update makes it easier to:

  • Review all of your usage in a single view.
  • Identify patterns in how credits are used.
  • Plan ahead for busy seasons or big campaigns.
Note

Tip

Check your Digital Wallet often during high-volume campaigns. If your credits are running low, adjust your segment refreshes or add more credits before you hit a limit.

Stay Current on Limits and Governance

Recent refinements to Data 360 include:

  • New limits for APIs, ingestion, and unstructured data
  • Clearer license entitlements in the documentation
  • Expanded guidance for monitoring and governance

These updates help you keep projects on track. You can double-check what your org is entitled to use, keep your internal docs up to date, and spot usage trends early—before they cause disruptions in production.

Connect Data Across Salesforce Orgs

Customer data is rarely in just one place. With Data 360 One, you can set up companion connections to pull data from multiple orgs into Data 360 and build a more comprehensive profile. For example, you might keep support data in one org and marketing data in another. Now you can bring all of that data together in Data 360 for a single, more complete view of your customer.

With this update, you can:

  • Share data across orgs instead of duplicating it.
  • Add context to profiles without creating duplicate records.
  • Build more precise segments for better personalization.

Build and Share with a Data 360 Sandbox

Extend your Data 360 setup by creating and installing data kits and packages across orgs and environments. Use a Data 360 sandbox to test and validate configurations before you build in production. This gives you a safer way to manage migrations.

With this update, you:

  • Validate changes in a sandbox before deploying to production.
  • Move metadata, process definitions, and settings consistently.
  • Reduce risk during large rollouts.

Even small mistakes can affect segmentation, insights, and activations. Testing first keeps migrations predictable and controlled.

Automate Package Creation

Manually creating packages takes time and leaves room for errors. Now you can generate them automatically with the package.xml file.

This automation helps you:

  • Reduces manual steps by adding entities and dependencies for you.
  • Reduce the risk of deployment errors.
  • Maintain consistent results when using CI/CD pipelines.

Together, Build and Share plus package automation speed up development and make sandbox-to-production moves more reliable, even when multiple teams or orgs are involved.

Ingest Data in Real Time

Sometimes you can’t wait for the next batch job. Real-time ingestion APIs let you stream data into Data 360 the moment it’s created. That way, identity resolution, calculated insights, and segmentation stay current and ready to use.

Use real-time ingestion for fraud detection, abandoned cart recovery, or proactive service alerts. For high-volume but less urgent data, stick with batch ingestion. Many teams use both methods together to balance speed and cost.

Wrap-Up

In this unit, you explored the latest Data 360 updates—Hyperforce expansion, real-time data actions, unified credit tracking, usage and access updates, companion org connections with Data 360 One, Build and Share with package automation, and real-time ingestion APIs. Together, these changes give you new ways to keep customer data current, deliver personalization at the right moments, and meet compliance requirements with confidence.
