Tableau won't let me blend two data sources because one of them includes a logical table. How do I either 1) change the join to a relationship or 2) find a way to blend the data sources without changing the logical table without affecting the vizs?

Would you be able to provide a sample packaged workbook? This will help us to better understand the structure of your data, the charts you’re trying to create, etc. We don’t necessarily need your real data, so if it’s confidential, perhaps you could try to create some fake data in a similar structure as your real data.
