I have a Case object record whose Status is 'Open & New'. Now in edit page I have changed the Status value to 'Working' and hit Save.
What will be the result of PIORVALUE(Status) at the time of Save click.

Well, if it works fine and triggers an error, you met the criteria to throw an error.
