I am the systems administrator for our SF account and have a number of users.

 

One of the users has now asked me if I can proceed to delete a number of open activities from her account for her to "tidy it up". She currently has way too many open activities and as a result does not really use her SF account effectively anymore.

 

Please let me know in clear steps how to do this and also if there is a way to delete these in bulk

    You should not delete the records instead change the status of activities to completed but still if you want to delete create a report for all the activities for that user. Export the id's from the report in the csv and then use data loader to delete the specific records. Warning: Use appropriate filters to only get the activities related to the specific user using assigned to field.
