I'm looking for input on the best way to count the number of files on a parent.  I can create a field and build a trigger but was hoping there is an easier way.  The bottom line is that we have always had an object that we load attachments to.  That object is/was needed for approvals and for linking up one attachment to multiple records.  With files I really only need to maintain this object for approvals on files.  But I need to know how many files are linked to the record.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  thanks!!
