Opportunity related list sorted by most recent close date?

I have the Opportunity related list on the Account page, and it is sorted by oldest - newest. Is there a way I can have the most recent Opportunities show up at the top of the list instead of at the bottom?

    To do this, you must edit the opportunity related list properties on the page layout.  Go to Setup | Customize | Opportunities | Page Layouts, and edit the page layout you use.  Click the wrench on the Opportunities related list to enter the properties, and from there you want to set the Sort by to Close Date, and ensuring you have chosen descending.  Click OK and Save the changes to your related list.
