Does Salesforce have OCR on it's roadmap for Files?
We upload a lot of scanned paper into Salesforce and want to be able to search for keywords within those files. There's an Idea out there (https://success.salesforce.com/ideaView?id=08730000000JaPpAAK), which is very far from the threshold for consideration.
Wondering if any Product Managers have any insight to implementing this type of capability. Without being able to search scanned files, we're forced to look at other platforms or expensive integrations. It seems like OCR should just ... be part of Salesforce Files.

Ryan, unfortunately OCR is not a standard process for searching and finding key data in SFDC. We've embedded an open source OCR layer in our Kona engine to bring back search results from scanned docs. This also includes the Salesforce security and permissioning model so User A can't see User B's data.
