I am looking to use username and password authentication because currently I am unable to connect to Tableau cloud using windows authentication.

Hi, in that case, you would need to ask your database admin, to create an user that uses the MS SQL Local authentication (similar to the authentication used by the sa user). Once he has created and given permissions, you should be able to use it for your MS SQL connection in Tableau.
