i want to learn how to change parameters display value automatically , not manuel. For example; my parameter value should be unique identifier but display value is corresponding surname. Thank you
I added a parameter to the workbook as you describe. If you create a table with the identifier and the display value you can copy as crosstab, then when you are creating the parameter select list and then paste values from clipboard. This should create the parameter you describe, once anyway (note, I also had to delete the first value manually as it had the dimension names). There isn't currently a way to dynamically generate parameters from the data, but you may be able to get similar functionality using quick filters.
This does require that your display value be just as unique as your identifier, otherwise there would be two values that were indistinguishable in the selection list.
