I am a consultant. A client would like to me to create some data dashboards for them in Tableau. They would like to purchase a Tableau Creator subscription. My question is: can I download Tableau Desktop onto my computer in my office (i.e. offsite from my client's office), upload the dashboards to their Tableau Server and then, at the end of my consultancy, transfer Tableau Desktop to one of their computers?

Definitely, that's the way I work all the time. The client provides you with the license key that you install on your computer and at the end of the contract you remove the license key from your computer and they can re-use on another one of their computers.
