We have email to case set up and we've set up the email alerts when an email is received to the case. Is there a way that agents can get email notifications within Salesforce as a case comment or something??

    Go to Setup > Support Settings, make sure that Notify Case Owner of New Case Comments is set to True.

     

    Also, make sure the Access Level is set to All Email, you can check it by going to; Setup > Deliverability
