Two issues with how Salesforce Files and Library Content Packs render files that have been uploaded.

1) We received a PDF and uploaded to both Files and Libraries. All the pages are in Portrait except the last one which is Landscape. When viewing the file, the last page (landscape orientation) renders as portrait and cuts off the information that would be displayed in the landscape.

2) We were given a PDF file that was created from a PowerPoint. Regardless of whether using Files or Libraries, viewing the file shows the PPT Master slide layout mashed onto/behind the slide content. However, if the file is downloaded it only renders the actual slide content.

Why is this happening and is there anything we can do about it? I hope the solution is not to tell everyone we send links to that they need to download the file rather than viewing it onscreen. We are wanting to send files that are several MB in size and even have one that is nearly 1 GB. Not a good selling point to tell your customer (and prospective customer) that they have to download your sales piece in order to see what you sent them.

This is not the first time we've noticed this happening and have really tried to avoid using Files or Content to send things. But we are getting more and more very large files from our clients to use in selling to our customers (we represent other companies and they provide nearly all the sales pieces used). Being able to send links to VIEW the content CORRECTLY would be so very helpful.

    Hi -@Andresa Strahm

we're constantly improving our file preview engine. I can look into figuring out what it's going to take to fix these issues. Would it be possible for you to post 2 files that demonstrate the problems above? Having a sample file will really help narrow down the root cause.
