A Day in the Life of a Marketer

 
 
Morning
You start the day off by monitoring your campaign performance dashboards. You review which campaigns and what particular content is generating the most successful metrics whether that be qualified leads for your sales team or new users for your product.
 
Midmorning
Attend a marketing team meeting where you hear updates from the creative and technical members of your marketing team. You report on what you’re currently working on, any new ideas you have, and what you need help with.
 
After Lunch
Sit down with the team’s marketing automation specialist to review plans to A/B test a new email template against the traditional template your team has been using this past year.
 
Afternoon
You put the finishing touches on a presentation for your VP to show the impact of the latest marketing campaign. You work with the team’s Marketing Analyst to make sure your numbers are accurate.
 
End of Day
You finish up the day by checking out the campaigns of competitors and brands that you admire. You skim blog posts and forums on latest Marketing trends and best practices. You make a few notes of ideas that might work well for your team.
