Example;
- You have 1000 users. These users are worldwide connecting to 20+ different datasources
- 950 of these users should only have the ability to have extracts run for 20 mins
- 50 of these users have an approved business critical need for extracts to run for 120 mins.
Given than Tableau Sever only has a single global extract query timeout limit how is one supposed to managed this type of scenario(which I assume is common to every organization for having a small percentage of queries that need to be running long)
If Tableau had some kind of concept of query timeout limit at a schedule level and you could secure those schedules this would be solved very easy(other by enterprise BI tools I use have the ability to set different query timeout limits in a deployment) .
So how is everyone managing this?
