Opportunity Owner cannot see their opportunities

I have a user that is both the Account Owner and Opportunity Owner.  They are using the Standard User profile. Currently they cannot view the opporuntity in the account related list. I have the System Admin profile, and can see the opporutnity listed under the account.  No other use with thie Standard User profile has this issue.  I am stumped. HELP!

    Can they see the Opportunity record otherwise?  Like by searching? or in a Report? 

     

    Just to rule everything out, are you sure there is not a "duplicate/custom" Opportunity Related List on the Account detail page?   

     

    Or a duplicte Account with the same name?  If you click on the Account Name in the Opportunity are you brought to the exact same Account record (with same SFDC record ID).
