Has anyone found a way to have thumbnail images in Content?

Question

The way filtering works in content makes this an ideal content management solution versus products like Sharepoint. The only concern I have at this point is we will have categories with thousands of images we want someone to browse through. Has anyone found a solution to display a preview of images without having to drill down into the file?

Unfortunately we do not have access to modify the layouts/UI for Content and its libraries. It would be a great idea to post on the Idea Exchange.

Thanks. I think my solution will be to use an external photo library (open source based) and figure out a way to put an external link embedded into the interface so it at least looks integrated.   Then use content for everything else (.doc / ppt / etc.).   I will post this in the ideas section as well.
