I am having trouble updating one of my reports and can't figure out why.
I have a Tableau Prep Flow using Data Sources on Tableau Cloud
I push the output of that flow to the cloud as a Hyper Extract. I then use that Hyper Extract in the cloud to create reports/visualizations using Tableau Desktop. I then push those reports back up to Tableau Cloud.
The data sources themselves refresh just fine with the most updated data. However, when I run my Prep Flow in the cloud, my reports don't contain any of the new current data.
Any thoughts on what might be happening?

Yes, it totally does. The extract is already an extract of something else, you you would need to refresh that extract before the latest data is available. You can actually see the timestamp on the extract when it was last refreshed. The Live connection is connected directly, and always reads the latest information from the underlying file/database/whatever
