Hello there, 

We have many clients that rent from us. 

Some have multiple businesses. 

For Examample contacts name is Joe Bloggs he has 4 companys names:

 

Blogs Shoes

 

Blogs Hair

 

Blogs Mobiles 

 

Blogs Pet Care

 

At the present moment we are creating 4 seperate accounts for each company and creating an opportunity for each hire, with no visibility to see that they are linked which is causing upteen amount of problems. 

What is best practive for dealing with this ? 

We have salesforce enterprise.

    If they really are distinct Companies, you could create a Parent Account (like Bloggs Industries, or BloggCorp).  Then use the standard Parent Account field on the Account records to link the subsidiaries/divisions to their Parent.  

     

    Taking it a step further you might wanna create a custom "Ultimate Parent Account" field like this (it will make Opportunity Reports a LOT cleaner)
