We have had the email address field customised by a third party and after testing have found this field to only be available to the user once they have created a new contact, in other words it's blank when creating a new contact. However this only happens when logged in as a user. If i log in as an admin I don't have this problem. Can you suggest anything in the permissions I could look to change? I'm trying to avoid having to over customise this for it to work.
