I would like to set up an email template and use merge fields.

I would like to pull in merge fields from object Module but a person can have numerous Modules associated with their record.  Is there away of specifying in the template which Module I would like the merge fields to pull from?  At the moment none of them work which I am guessing is because they have more than one Module.

 

The fields are:

 

{!Module__c.ModuleName__c}

 

{!Module__c.Module_Board_Date__c}

 

{!Module__c.Module_Board_Year__c}

 

{!Module__c.Exam_Centre__c}

 

{!Module__c.ModuleListId__c}

 

{!Module__c.ModuleList__c}

 

Everyone I want to send the template to will have the same Module Name for the Module I want to pull the merge fields from.  So can I specify the Module Name some how and then SF will know to pull the merge fields from the Module with that name?

    Thanks John.  There are no triggers so I am not that would work.  This is an exam reminder email template that I am creating so nothing would be updated to trigger it.  It is being sent as a reminder only.

     

    Any other ideas?
