Do vote totals get combined when ideas are merged?

If one or more ideas are merged into a master idea, do the votes of the merged ideas get summed to the master idea?

Hello Leo,   Yes  the votes get summed up  but with exceptions : All votes belonging to child ideas are transferred to the master idea.
