
I am currently using DemandTools' "Discovery: Find/Report ID's" function to compare an external list of company names to the companies that we have in Salesforce. I have to run it each time for Leads, Opportunities, and Accounts both in the "Cleaned Name" and "First XX Letters" mapping types
With each run through, I export the matches as an Excel file and manually look at each row of entries to remove duplicates/matching company names.
Some duplicates are really easy to remove via an Excel Match function if they are exact matches, but if the Company names are slightly different (if they include Corp, llc, international), then it becomes a completely manual process.
I was just wondering if anyone else uses DemandTools in such a way and if you would happen to have any tips or advice as to how I can expedite this process or make it more efficient so that I wouldn't have to look at each individual entry.

DemandTools has a match type that will help with matching on Company Names called "Cleaned Account Name" (this takes the place of the "Exact" match) that will remove things Corp, LLC, etc. so that it will match on "Acme Corp" and "Acme, LLC", and "Acme, Inc." for example.
