We want to use salesforce to track our monthly referrals (volumes) that we receive from our customers.  These referrals come to us by each account/contact each month.  From this point, we would also like to track sales calls as they relate to referral volume for each account/contact within salesforce.

    My rule of thumb is "If you can track it in excel, you can do it easily in Salesforce"

     

    The key factors in your situation would be deciding how to set up your instance of Salesforce, but the functionality you're referring to is available easily.  A strong implemenation team will learn your processes, what you want to do, and architect a solution.  You'll love it!
