How do I make mailing state and country mandatory fields under contacts

We are an international company and I need to run reports based on country and state.  All I need is to have these fields mandatory.  I do not need address or zip mandatory but I have no tbeen able to make these fields mandatory.  Thank you for any assistance the community can provide.

    SOLVED!

     

    I only needed to force the MailingCountry...so I used this...

     

    ISBLANK(MailingCountry)

     

    Tested and confirmed working!

    This didn't work for me.

     

    I am still able to add and edit contacts without the State and/or Country fields.

     

    Was this ever confirmed as working? Or did anyone else find another solution to this?
