I would like to convert people/organization to lead based on certain conditions. For an example, if anyone (people) shows interest on particular offer, Salesforce user will transfer/convert that people to lead.
Any idea how could I do that?

Actually I am developing an application for an educational institute. Here we keep the student information as people object. But sometimes students show their interest in another program e.g. MBA. Then student advisor want to make a lead just clicking a button or checking a box rather than putting the redundant information in lead object.
