Add Quota Data

Set the revenue quota for the current and next three fiscal quarters for Alek, one of Ian’s international sales reps. 

Set Revenue Quotas for a Sales Rep

Change Quota Settings and Fetch Quotas.

1. From Setup, enter quota in Quick Find, and then click Forecasts Quotas.
2. Change the quota settings:
   
   

   Setting	Details/Action
   Forecast Period	Select the current fiscal quarter
   Forecast Type	Select Opportunity Revenue

3. Click Show Quotas.
4. Click the checkbox in front of Alek Wozniak and then click Edit Select Rows.
5. Enter this quota information:
   
   

   Setting	Details/Action
   Quota	350000

6. Click Save.
7. Repeat steps 2 - 6 for the next three quarters. You should have input a quota amount of 350,000 for each of the four quarters.

Now view the quota data that you just defined and quota attainment from the forecast.

1. Click the Forecasts tab.
2. Click the View my forecasts menu.
3. In the search field, enter Alek and select Alek Wozniak.
4. If the Opportunity Revenue view is not displayed, then click  and select Opportunity Revenue.
5. If the Quota column is not visible, then click  and select Show Quota Column.
6. Verify that Alek’s forecast includes the quota information that you just entered.
   
   
   
7. Click the Display Settings menu and select Show Quota % Attainment. The quota attainment for Alek for all the stages are viewable.

Set Revenue Quotas for a Sales Manager

Set the revenue quota for the International Sales Manager, Clough, for the current and the next three fiscal quarters.

1. From Setup, while still in Forecast Quotas, change the quota settings:
   
   

   Setting	Details/Action
   Forecast Period	Select the current fiscal quarter
   Forecast Type	Select Opportunity Revenue

2. Click Show Quotas.
3. Click the checkbox in front of Clough Donahas and then click Edit Select Rows.
4. Enter this quota information:
   
   

   Setting	Details/Action
   Quota	151000

5. Click Save.
6. Repeat steps 1 - 5 for the next three quarters using this quota data:
   
   

   Quarter	Quota (amount)
   Current FQ+1	121000
   Current FQ+2	111000
   Current FQ+3	91000

Now view the quota data that you just defined and the quota attainment percent from the forecast.

1. Click the Forecasts tab.
2. From the View my forecasts menu, search for Clough Donahas and select his name.
3. Verify that Clough’s forecast includes the quota information that you just entered.
4. View the quota attainment for Clough for the Closed forecast category for the current fiscal quarter. This shows how much of his quota he has obtained for that quarter. If the quota attainment is not displayed, then click the Display Settings menu and select Show Quota % Attainment.
5. In the breadcrumbs, click Ian Lin to display Ian’s view of the forecast.
   
   

By entering quota data for users and looking at the forecast screen, Ian can see what percent of his rep’s quota has been attained.

Now that you added quota data and viewed the resulting forecasts, move on to add additional forecast types.
