Configure Einstein Lead Scoring

Remote Site Settings

Great, you’re all set with your brand-new special org. Before you can set up Einstein Lead Scoring, you must verify the Remote Site Settings. 

  1. Click the setup cog Setup icon and select Setup.
  2. Enter Company Information in the Quick Find box, then select Company Information.
  3. Within the Organization Detail section, copy the Instance of your Trailhead Playground (example: NA139).
  4. Enter Remote Site Settings in the Quick Find box, then select Remote Site Settings.
  5. Verify that the instance of your Trailhead Playground is listed in the pre-approved Remote Sites.
    Note: The Remote Sites are listed alphabetically based on the first letter of the instance. Use the alphabetic selector across the top to find where your instance could be listed.
  6. If your instance is listed, you are good to move on to the next section, Assign Permission Sets.
    • If your instance is not listed in Remote Site Settings, you will need to add it:
      1. Click New Remote Site.
      2. In the Remote Site Name, enter <your instance name>. For example: NA112
      3. In the Remote Site URL, enter https://<your instance name>.salesforce.com

      4. Click Save. Your Trailhead Playground is now approved for Apex callouts (this will be done via Process Builder later in this project).

Assign Permission Sets

Time to give yourself and your sales rep access to Sales Cloud Einstein.

  1. From Setup, enter Permission Sets in the Quick Find box, then select Permission Sets.
  2. Click the Sales Cloud Einstein Permission Set.
  3. Click Manage Assignments to assign the permission set to users.
  4. Click Add Assignments.
  5. Select the checkbox next to Pepper, Belle and your name, then click Assign.
  6. Click Done.

Use Assisted Setup to Configure Einstein Lead Scoring

The Sales Cloud Einstein setup page shows all the steps you need to deploy Sales Cloud Einstein. Choose the lead conversion milestone that matches your business practices. Does your sales team create opportunities when they convert leads, or do they simply convert leads to accounts and contacts?

  1. From Setup, enter Assisted Setup in the Quick Find box, and then select Assisted Setup under Einstein Sales.
  2. If it’s your first time visiting the setup page, click Get Started.
  3. Click Set Up next to Einstein Lead Scoring.
  4. Read the Introduction and then click Get Started.
  5. For the following steps, select the appropriate option and then click Next to move to the next step.

    Do you want Einstein to consider all lead fields?
    No, ignore certain fields (Advanced).
    Deselect fields to ignore during score analysis.
    Leave blank.
  6. When Einstein finishes confirming your settings, click Score Leads.
  7. Click Close.
